Guidance on COVID Exposure Outside of SwRI
If you had exposure to someone who has tested positive for COVID-19, please notify your supervisor and contact the SwRI Medical Clinic for guidance. The CDC currently defines close contact as “Someone who was within 6 feet of an infected person for a cumulative total of 15 minutes or more over a 24-hour period starting from two days before illness onset (or, for asymptomatic patients, two days prior to specimen collection).” Medical Clinic staff will assist you in reviewing your specific circumstances and advise accordingly.
